Washer materials are mainly divided into three categories: metal, non-metal and semi-metal. The details are as follows:

 

Metal materials: Including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, Hastelloy, Inconel, Monel, titanium, etc. They feature high strength, high temperature resistance and pressure resistance, and are suitable for harsh working conditions such as high temperature, high pressure and strong corrosion.

 

Non-metal materials: Common ones include rubber, asbestos and non-asbestos, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), graphite, paper, etc. They are soft, corrosion-resistant and cheap, but have relatively poor temperature and pressure resistance. They are mostly used for flange sealing of medium and low-pressure vessels or pipelines under normal and medium temperature conditions.

 

Semi-metal materials: Mainly including metal wound gaskets and metal clad gaskets. These gaskets combine the advantages of metal and non-metal materials, with good compressibility and resilience. They are suitable for environments with large fluctuations in pressure and temperature, as well as high-temperature and high-pressure working conditions.
